Code of Practice & Ethics

At JULIANA REGO Therapies, the welfare of our clients is our priority and in order to ensure our clients have a positive experience at all times, we strictly adhere to and abide by the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) Code of Conduct and Professional Practice.

We, at JULIANA REGO Therapies, shall:

• Act in the best interests of our clients;

• Respect our clients, other practitioners and healthcare professionals;

• Practice only within the limits of our competence;

• Practice within the law;

• Take responsibility for our own actions;

• Take a client-centred approach when forming and implementing a treatment plan;

• Respect our client’s privacy, dignity and cultural differences, and treat them fairly and without discrimination;

• Carry out a full consultation,which covers contraindications to treatment, to ensure that treatment is safe and appropriate for our client;

• Obtain informed and voluntary consent to assess and treat a client;

• Ensure treatments are safe and appropriate, and safeguard and promote the welfare of clients who are children and vulnerable adults;

• Refuse, discontinue or defer treatment where appropriate and justifiable;

• Observe confidentiality by protecting our client’s personal information against improper disclosure or use, in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 and EU General Data Protection Regulation;

• Ensure our behaviour does not damage the reputation of the profession;

• Maintain high standards of health and hygiene;

• Maintain and develop our knowledge and skills in order to practise safely, effectively and legally, within our scope of practice.
